FISN offers competitive, money market funds through its broker dealer - First Internet Securities Network, Member SIPC/ FINRA. Investors open securities accounts for the purchase and holding of Certificates of Deposit, CD Alternative Investments and Bonds. Account holders can earn interest on their available cash deposited in a money fund before or after investment. Money fund investments have daily liquidity with automatic trade settlement and withdrawal by check. Accounts are carried by National Financial Services LLC, Member SIPC/NYSE, at the direction of FISN. IRS Form 1099 for Interest and Dividends - National Financial Services (NFS) holds the brokerage accounts of all FISN customers. They prepare and mail out Form 1099s for FISN accounts. These forms are scheduled to be mailed by January 31st each year based upon IRS regulations. This year NFS mailed many but not all 1099s by January 31st. NFS requested and received an extension from the IRS allowing them to complete the mailing of the remainder of the 1099s for interest and dividends by the end of February. They are available online before they are mailed.
